For those those of us who consume lots of whey protein it sometimes pays to shop around and try some of the less expensive brands this is especially true if you are on a budget or looking to cut your supplement expenditure.
Body fortress whey protein is not the most expensive product on the market so I was expecting a no thrills protein supplement it comes in all the usual flavours such as Strawberry, Chocolate, Vanilla, Banana and Natural.
I chose the Chocolate flavour and the taste is great just like a regular chocolate milkshake with no chalky aftertaste and it mixes reasonably well with just a fork although I used it with milk rather than with water.
I had heard from one source that this product gave wind problems and slight stomach upsets but I have used this at least twice a day and sometimes three times a day for a full two months with absolutely no side effects whatsoever.
Each 25g serving provides 17.6g protein, 1.9g carbohydrate and 2.2g fat as well as a wide range of amino acids although I actually increased the serving size to something like 40g which worked well for me for maintainence purposes so whether you are looking to diet down, bulk up or just maintain muscle mass this product is a cost effective way of doing just that.
It comes in two sizes a large 2608g and a smaller 908g version and for those who are UK based Holland & Barrett do regular half price special offers with the 908g size although this can sometimes differ from their online offers via their website so check with your local store.
So if are looking for a low cost protein supplement Body Fortress whey protein is one you should definitely consider trying.
